"Remember, a bad headshot or photo of you used on the internet, especially on social media is almost impossible to remove.
Just Google your name in Google Images and see what pops-up. Choose your photographer wisely!"

MY 2 CENTS

For what it's worth, I’ve been photographing people my entire career which began in NYC/NJ. I’ve created thousands of headshots for different clients for many uses. Some of the most common questions many of them have are things like: “what should I wear"; "what should I do with my hair"; "do you get rid of pimples"; "can you make me look 10 pounds lighter"; "can you make me 10 years younger"; "can you make me look like so and so” and many many more.

But I think the one question that is the one that really amazes me the most is: “So, should I get a professional photographer head shot from you or just go to (choose your favorite department store or someone who owns a camera with little experience claiming to be a pro and plug it in here) cause they charge less than you do?”

I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’m asked this question, mostly by professionals and business people.

What your business headshot looks like is very important, it reflects who your are. If it doesn't, it's time for a new one that does. Your headshot could be the difference between getting the call or your competitor getting the call; any good business advisor will tell you that. Isn't your professional appearance especially for your business worth the investment in the best head shot you could get?

That being said, as I stated above, choose your photographer wisely. What I'm saying is if it's all about the photographer that's the lowest bidder and not about the quality of their work, just go to Google Images and Google yourself or a colleague; if there's a not so hot looking picture(s) there, most likely it came from your website or social media page and it will be there in the virtual image cloud with your name on it for almost an eternity. Yes, anyone Googling you will see those same "not so hot" images of you on their screen too.

Still think that bargain price is a great deal?

My rates are very competitive; I have a fast turn-around time; I have several options available and I give you my 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEE or you pay nothing for your headshot session.

I'm available to answer any of your questions and ready to schedule your next shoot. I look forward to working with you!

TIPS FOR YOUR BUSINESS HEADSHOT

Not sure how to prepare for your headshot session? Well here is a list of suggestions that can help you look your best. If you have any questions after reading these tips, feel free to call me for some suggestions.

Solid colors are the best. Loud prints and logos are a headshot no-no, this goes for men’s ties too.

Black pretty much makes everyone look good. The people who will be looking at your headshot need to know it’s you, so wear the solids that you feel best in as that will often bring out the best in you!

On the other end of that spectrum, white clothing tends to “blow out” when reproduced. Sometimes white works, and sometimes it doesn’t. Some white is okay, but please keep it to a minimum. Typically I see men wearing white shirts; as long as you are using a tie and jacket, white will work here. Otherwise choose a different color shirt for best results.

Last apparel suggestion: well-fitting clothing is usually better than fashionably loose apparel.
