Throughout my career I've literally created thousands of headshots of business people. My experience tells me what types of headshots they need, what they should look like, and most importantly, what will work for them in the business world.

Since social media sites have become the best way of connecting to other business people that you may not have the opportunity to meet in person, it may also be your only exposure to that new connection. First impressions are important, that's why your headshot needs to be spectacular!

Professional Business Headshot Tips
Did you know that every image you post to your social network pages (FB, LinkedIn, Pintrest, Instagram, etc.) is captured in the cloud and once it's in there can (almost) never be removed? Just Google your name in "Google Images", you'll see what I mean. Now try to get those images removed. Good Luck. Just removing it from your social media page or website doesn't eliminate it from the "clouds" archives.

You need to make sure the photos you are posting won't have a negative impact on you or your business, now or in the future. Here's a few professional business headshot tips that I give my clients when I'm consulting with them:
  • SELFIE'S ARE A BIG NO-NO.
  • NEVER USE A CROPPED SHOT FROM A PARTY.
  • NEVER USE A PHOTO OF YOURSELF THAT'S MORE THAN 2 YEARS OLD.
  • WEAR THE RIGHT CLOTHING.
